National Real Estate Marketing Firm Practices What Its Clients Preach
WASHINGTON, Jan. 25 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — After 10 years of marketing Green real estate projects for their clients, Delucchi+ (www.delucchiplus.com), an innovative, full-service, strategic real estate marketing firm led by 20-year marketing and advertising veteran, President Christine L. Delucchi, has decided to put their money where their message is. The company’s move from Georgetown to Downtown embraces a greener way of life with office space that is registered for LEED Silver certification within a building that is 100% wind powered. Located along both the Red and Orange metro lines, Delucchi+ provides metro fare cards as a benefit to its employees to encourage the use of public transportation as a part of the company pledge to become carbon neutral by 2010.

The energy savings associated to this 10-year lease located at 1828 L St. NW is equivalent to eliminating nearly 2 million pounds of CO2 or 220 cars off the road over the lease period. President, Christine Delucchi believes, “There is a direct correlation between how you feel and the space in which you work. My hope is that the money, time and effort Delucchi+ invests in our green office space and on becoming carbon neutral will foster a team of happy, productive, and inspired employees. And since we are in a service-oriented, creative business, this is critical to our success.”
Delucchi+ is located in a building owned and operated by long time client and green real estate developer The Tower Companies. “After over ten years of marketing green projects together, we are thrilled that Delucchi+ would become the first tenant in our portfolio to invest in certifying their office space,” said Tower Companies Principal Marnie Abramson. Tower Companies is the largest developer of green real estate in the Washington region with over 1.25 green square feet and the only real estate developer in the country to purchase wind for 100% of their electrical energy needs.
The Delucchi+ headquarters are designed by national green architectural firm, Kishimoto, Gordon, Dalaya, PC. To achieve their LEED Silver designation, the space was designed as an open-space environment to maximize daylight and views. All materials used throughout the space are non-toxic to enhance air quality and eliminate toxicity. Environmentally friendly and energy saving materials used throughout the space are as follows: Shaw carpet tiles with recycled backing, low VOC paint and sealers, recycled cotton insulation, ceiling tiles with high recycled content, Energy Star appliances, low mercury lighting, and new Teknion office furnishings made from recycled metal and fabric which are over 69% recyclable. As an example, their reception desk was custom-made from wheat and straw compressed material called Agriboard. The employee lounge also features a recycling center and only green cleaning supplies will be used in the space. See their website at http://www.delucchiplus.com/green for an interactive green tour of their office space.
Delucchi+ signed a 10-year, 5,600 SF lease to support their growing creative team of 23 full-time employees.
