WHAT: More than 150 college and high school football players and
coaches from the inaugural All-Star Classic — featuring both
the Southern California Bowl and American Heritage Bowl — will
tour the United States Naval Facilities in San Diego including
the Navy Seals Special Warfare Command at Coronado on Thursday
(Jan. 24). The walk through practice and military meet and
greet is part of the full week of football festivities leading
up to the bowl game doubleheader on Saturday (Jan. 26) at Cal
State Fullerton’s Titan Stadium.
This one-of-a-kind football doubleheader establishes two
historic football milestones: (1) the Southern California Bowl
is the first-ever regional high school all-star contest in
California; and (2) the American Heritage Bowl is the first
college football bowl game featuring the nation’s top seniors
from historically black colleges and universities. Both games
will be broadcast on ESPNU multiple times next month.
The Southern California Bowl will showcase 75 of Southern
California’s finest high school seniors. The Coastal Navy team
with student-athletes from San Diego, Orange and Imperial
counties will battle the Inland Marines squad representing San
Bernardino and Riverside counties. Twenty Coastal all-stars
hail from San Diego-area high schools. For complete All-Star
Classic rosters and complete game information go to

WHO: The Henry T. Nicholas III Foundation in association with the
Fight On! Foundation will present the first annual All-Star
Classic to benefit the families of fallen Navy and Marine
personnel. The Wounded Warrior Project, National Military
Family Association, Freedom Alliance and Injured Marine Semper
Fi Fund will each be presented checks during halftime
ceremonies of the Southern California Bowl.
The HTN Foundation is the presenting sponsor of the All-Star
Classic. Dr. Henry T. Nicholas III, co-founder and retired
