CTV Technologies Inc. recently donated what it does best — Web sites. Last spring, the Orlando Web technology company created an informational Web site free of charge for the Conductive Education Center of Orlando in Winter Park, an organization that combines physical and social educational methods to meet the needs of children with motor and cognitive disabilities. A couple of weeks ago, the company created a new, additional Web site for the organization that functions as an Internet TV channel and allows the organization to upload its videos. The site now features videos of the children learning skills and information on how the educational organization works. Together, the two Web sites are worth about $15,000. They give the center a way to connect with parents who are looking for services for their children. CTV Technologies heard about the Conductive Education Center of Orlando and its need through one of its clients. According to Eric Hobbs, director of operations at CTV Technologies, the decision to help the education center with their Web site was not a difficult one. “We said, you know, this is an awesome organization, let’s just give them what they need,” Hobbs said. ” . . .The thing that has really got us psyched up about that %26#091;Internet TV channel%26#093; is that it really helps tell a story . . . When you see that interaction %26#091;on the videos%26#093;, then you are able to get an emotional connection with that organization that you really aren’t able to get even from the Web site.”
